I Love Lucy

If you love colour and you also love crochet head to Lucy's blog called Attic 24
I made this little gem on the weekend, using one of Lucy's patterns
Its a very simple idea but very cute I thought.
So collect all of you used glass jars and hey presto a bit of hooking and you have a one of a kind handmade vase.
I will use mine on my stall table for the Bazaar this weekend

Baby Zebra Hat

I love newborns, we all do I guess.  In the off season for warm wintry hats newborn props seem to be the logical choice to concentrate on.  I have a couple of great photographers who use my props and share photos for my on line shop.
This is the latest photo from Moffat Photography.
I love this photo of my little Zebra Hat.
Thank you to Moffat Photography for sharing such a beautiful photo

Teddy Bear Beanie

Teddy Bear Beanie
Its obviously off season for crocheted woollen hats here in Australia, especially in Brisbane. So I have been searching my brain for what I could make that might sell at markets and on Madeit.com.au.  Newborn hats and photo props are always in season I guess so that is what I am going to concentrate on during the warmer months. Also I will be trying to create some of my own little hats and get patterns down to share on Ravelry......oh I would love that!
So here is my Teddy Bear hat. The main section of the hat was my own creation, and proudly seamless.
The ears were beyond my imagination or ability to make on the spot so I made them using "Osito Infant Bear Hat" by Mia Zamora Johnson - Via Ravelry.
I used Bendigo Wool Mill  - 100% Cotton - Latte. Its an 8ply yarn so I doubled up the yarn and this works well for a more chunky look.  Its such a soft yarn, perfect for little babies.
